These headspace inserts are designed to ensure fast and accurate measurement of the headspace of the shells.
Made to measure the shoulder of the case when setting the Full Length dies.
We normally recommend a drop between .001 â€and .002†between fired and recalibrated cartridge cases for bolt action rifles, and between .003 â€and .005†for semi-automatic firearms.
Carrying out a correct recalibration of the shoulder is very important for the precision of an ammunition as this will be chambered every time with the same pressure without creating imbalances.
To be used these inserts require the dedicated Body (sold separately). In steel to prevent wear and to be resistant to acids.
