While blank rounds are normally seen only as useful on movie sets or in force-on-force exercises performed by military and law enforcement groups, they are also useful for function checking your favorite wheel gun after it receives a new trigger return spring when you don't have a range handy.
As effective sources of explosive noise, blank rounds should still be recognized as dangerous to your hearing or to close range targets upon which they can still expel a potent load of hot gas as well as the cardboard cap that keeps the contents inside.
